From a bra factory in China, it’s an Under Armour running shoe!

“It was a joke at first, but a couple of innovators from design and innovation starting running with it,” Fulks said. “I admit — all of us were kind of like, ‘Eh, I don’t think so.’
“But when we got a first sample that was sort of rough, we all started to get excited.”
The inspiration for the shoe’s fabric came from an astronaut’s spacesuit. The result in Speedform is a snug, sock-like feel. The shoe will be available in early July at a suggested retail price of $120.

“It really is the first of its kind, never been done before. It’s not an iteration,” Fulks said.
When given the choice in describing what UA is doing, Fulks prefers “movement” rather than an “innovation” because the latter is a favorite buzzword overused by the competition.

“It’s sheer size,” Powell said. “It is very expensive to develop and make a shoe and the consumer demands constant innovation. So small brands are held back by high development costs.Sunglasses mp3 players”

Fulks emphasized this wasn’t the usual cycle or development, comparing his team’s process to his futile pursuit of perfecting a Rubik’s Cube in high school.
“I’d break them and put them back together,” he said. “I think that’s what we did here.On-Board Diagnostic(obd2 scanner) systems are in most cars and light trucks on the road today. We broke it. We broke the manufacturing cycle, put it back together the way we thought it should be done.”
That promises to be the legacy of Speedform, which will eventually be used in basketball and football categories. But will it resonate with runners, or anyone, really, who hasn’t embraced Under Armour as a footwear option?
“We’re excited this gives us an opportunity to have a different conversation with a whole new set of consumers,” Fulks said.
